First 3 game win streak of the year!

These Philly-Jets games are turning out to be a high scoring bunch.

Good win again for the Jets. Still with too many penalties though.

....nice part is they get a nice 4 day break. Longest in over a month.

I can`t believe the Jets lost to the Sens at home. Well the Jets are the best thing that has happened to Winnipeg in years, I hope they can gel together, and make the playoffs...

^ It was a tough loss, for sure, because I felt we outskated them (we definitely outshot them too)

My second live game, atmosphere was awesome as usual - tons of "go jets go" chants - from the upper bowl, lower bowl, across from you, beside you etc...

Well, it's the Winnipeg Jets Phoenix Coyotes vs. the Atlanta Thrashers Winnipeg Jets tonight. Hearing the old team getting booed and jeered is quite hilarious actually.

Awesome game by the Jets tonight. 1 0 over the Desert Mutts. So much for their "easy win" tonight. And my boy Pavs with the shutout! And boy are the Yotes fans sore losers! We worked hard for three full periods instead of the usual copout in the second or third. A HUGE improvement. This team is improving. And the boo's to the Yotes from the fans, especially Doan...............awesome.

SUCK IT DESERT MUTTS

I'll never quite understand the outpouring of hate for Doan. Essentially, he said he'd like to remain in Phoenix (his family's home for 15 years) and finish his career there (at a time that moving to Winnipeg was just speculation). Just because there were rumours of a move to Winnipeg, he was supposed to say "Yeah, I'd love if the franchise moved to Winnipeg. I'm eager to uproot my family in the twilight of my career!" I mean, I realize that there aren't a lot of fans there, but he's got to show loyalty to the few that are there. Imagine Jets 1.0 saying things like that in 96 - "Yeah, we might be moving to Phoenix - I sure hope we do! It's great there". So why did we expect him, or anyone, to say things like that when the rumours were swirling... Booing for Ilya I get, Doan I don't... /rant

He has gone on record stating that if the Jets lose consistently, the fanbase will crumble. He said NHL hockey won't work in Winnipeg in the long run and even implied that the team will eventually relocate because we are "fairweather fans". And this from a PHOENIX hockey player. Hypocrite much?

He deserves every boo he gets for being such a hypocritical douchbag.

Just go back from this one...

@ Bdog: Doan got a 30 second standing O during the game about 7 minutes into the game during a TV timeout.

They had him up on the jumbotrons and asked the crowd to acknowledge his services to the Jets 1.0

It was pretty cool actually.

After that, he and every Phoenix player who touched the puck got booed. All game.

I think Khabibulin will get a similar welcome back, minus the booing though.

Very classy move by True North and by the fans at the game as well.

I don't think anyone actually hates Doan. As for the Yotes there will always be an outpouring of emotion there, they took our original team from us. But personally I think the fans did that more than anything to prove to the Yotes that they should never have left, and to show them what they were missing. It all makes for a great atmosphere!

Winnipeg gets a sloppy 4-2 win over the Devils.

Not our best performace, but a sloppy win is still a win.

We're now 3rd in the division.

Washington should get better and Florida will falter.

Its quite conceivable that we finish second in the south east.

HNIC Hot Stove; Proposed Conferences

No divisions, it is 4 "conferences".

LA, ANA, SJ, VAN, CGY, EDM, COL, PHO

MTL, TOR, OTT, BOS, BUF, FLA, TB

DET, CHI, STL, MIN, NSH, CLB, WPG, DAL

PHI, PIT, NYR, NYI, NJ, WSH, CAR

Concerning the Jets, I am fine with this. I feel this will benefit the franchise in the long run; less time zones to cross and decent game start times for the local fanbase specifically with teams in our own time zone. Plus, Winnipeg will be in a division with it's closest NHL cities; Chicago and St. Paul.

I don't need my team to be in a division with Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. Those rivalries with the Jets have long expired. And based on chit chat around here and on other NHL forums, Calgary-Edmonton-Vancouver are so preoccupied with "hating" each other that I don't feel Winnipeg would be a welcomed edition to their rivalries. The days of the old Smythe Division rivalries for Winnipeg are long gone. It's time to forge new rivalries with Minny, Chicago, St. Louis, etc. And I get the sense that most Jets fans have no problem being in a division as the only Canadian team present.

Should be interesting to see how this re-alignment turns out!
