Oh, ok. I read it wrong, it should probably say "the Southern Hemisphere's equivalent of Miami Beach." Just so no one else gets mixed up.

One the hotels/condos we crashed at for a weekend is just to the left of Q1 in this picture the "penisula(?)". When I was there, that was pretty much the tallest building on the beach - and it looks tiny now!

Gold Coast is a cool place - I still remember driving into the first time, the skyline sort of appears out of no-where.

The beach there is second to none - except after 3pm, when all these towers we love so much shade the beach...

These towers look great. Now that Honolulu is easing up on the height restrictions and embracing density, hopefully we'll start getting some quality towers there too.
