Good progress so far and $39 bucks for the closest view of the Chrysler Building is going to be a deal that everyone's going to love!

Will this tower have a concrete core going up around the steel core?

Agreed, Top of the Rock is easily my favorite but also look forward to when 1V opens due to it's proximity to both the Chrysler and the ESB but Top of the Rock will get iconic views of all 3.

ESB is actually one of my least favorites...because you can't see the ESB.

That's exactly right. The best post-card views are from 30 Rock. It will be interesting to see what the ESB looks like from the One Vanderbilt angle.

Can you spot the rising #OneVanderbilt podium? Double tap for the answer! Fun fact: 47 percent of the building’s total steel weight has now been erected.

I am interested in seeing HY & the Chrysler buildings from One Vanderbilt.
Looking down at MetLife should be interesting.

Mayweather's latest business venture involves building 'the tallest' skyscraper in New York City

Business Insider

Quote:
Mayweather has long had sky-high plans but his latest project is unlike any other as the 41-year-old has said he is involved with One Vanderbilt — a skyscraper currently under construction in New York City.

"I've been working with my real estate buddies, my real estate guys," Mayweather said to YouTube channel Fight Hype.

"The project I'm working on now is called One Vanderbilt. Its going to be the tallest building in New York City. It's going to be taller than the Empire State building. We are also putting an observation deck on the building."

Mayweather claims One Vanderbilt will tower over all others in the city but, when completed in 2020, it will top 1,301 feet and therefore be just shy of 432 Park Avenue and One World Trade Center.

Damn I was about to say. They shouldn't use click bait titles like that, because we see that, we think over 1800+ ft.

Little do they know that Vanderbilt will only be the 4th tallest. A measly 4th tallest! And if 80 South does rise, I'd be the 5th tallest (1 Vandy).

That scene reminds me back when 432 Park was beginning to rise.
All those people on the street have no idea what's rising as they are too busy walking to their next stop.

With all this talk about HY & West 57th, One Vanderbilt will put 42nd Street on the map.
