It would actually disappoint me if the WSO moved to the Pantages. Centennial Hall's acoustics are very good, and their seats are comfortable. Pantages would be a downgrade on both.

They (WSO) have already been managing the place for the city since around 2010 so they may be able to make it a little more profitable if its their own building. The WSO would not move the performances over there to Pantages as its about 900 +/- seats smaller and as you say the acoustics are not set up for them.

WSO would always do it’s main performances at the concert hall. Pantages would be their home, offices and a permanent facility to do new things. A school, new music festival, Christmas performances, public outreach, recording. Being a tenant at the mercy of a landlord makes it difficult for them to do many of the things they would like to.

If the WSO bought Pantages, would they consider expanding the facility to the east? Is this a step in the Centennial Centre Master Plan or has nothing to do with that?

There were renderings put out 5+ years ago for a big expansion of Pantages by WSO, in the "plaza" area fronting Main Street.

Anyone know if 62M is ever going to finish the landscaping underneath the building? It looks like an absolute dump.
