This extension looks like a crude juxtaposition in order to grab your attention. This design from ReThinkNYC a few years back looks way more sophisticated and extends existing runways to allow for larger planes.

I might just not be aware of a good shuttle from LaGuardia, but the Air Train makes sense since it is already pretty close to existing subway lines.
Remember that unlike JFK, the LaGuardia AirTrain will be going away from Manhattan. As a result, I believe the current route with the bus will still be faster than taking the AirTrain.

Wow! 4 runways? I didn't even know that! Sure, they can build 2 more new runways. Yes, they can allow to bring large aircraft. Be sure Rikers Islands will be closed for goods.

This is going to be borderline batshit expensive. If the current bureaucratic climate is anything to go by.

That would of great use for the airport, and for the region. I wonder how it will fair given that the infrastructure plan by this POS president reduces federal funding, and instead, pushes it more towards the state raising the funds.

On the plus, the decreased regulation could be a good thing, but the cost being translated to the citizens, and not in a fair way is what I'm worried about.

Damn, those bridges will be super cool, looking down on planes; not many airports can flaunt that!

Very nice pics. It's really coming along nicely. Which airlines will be there? When they will be completed?

Terminal B has multiple airlines using it's facilities. It's not like the two Delta terminal on the east end of the airport.

The building that is at the end is of concourse C.

Will there be an airside connection between the new Delta Terminal and the New Central Terminal?
