I didn't know it was possible to fall in love with a building before it was more than 100 feet tall and looked like this, but damn...

^I'm feelin that feeling too. Pure muscle and symmetry, juxtaposed with its magnificent neighbors. The perfect site.

That 'Merican flag adds to the beauty as well.

The lobby in this building looks like it will be stunning. It was depicted in that way in the renders but the early photos of construction indicate that the real life may, in fact, surpass depictions. So far, so good.

+1

it's already looking light and airy which is always a hallmark of a good glass skyscraper.

The WP development so far has just been fantastic, both in design and execution. Loving everything about it. Pure class. Now if only WPS went supertall, I think I'd be in love.

^ Yep! Speaking of airy, I can't really tell from the renderings if this building will have glass like WPW or if there will be white detailing. I really really hope there is sharp, white detailing on this bad boy!

The developers behind projects like the Wolf Points should be huge advocates of better treatment of our wastewater so the river is swim-able again. Wolf Point South could have a diving board and slide emptying into the river behind a boat boundary for swimmers

I haven't seen them. I like the side facing east.

don't love the side facing south but it's tolerable

I haven't seen them either but they look great, and make a relatively basic building look great too

Another update from the office

I can't compete with you guys who have nice cameras, but just a couple snaps I took at lunch. I think that's Gr333n I can see in the background of the second image, but someone else will have to confirm. If I had a better camera I could actually get some good pictures of the West Loop from the office through Lake Street.

I'm getting more and more excited about WPS as WPE rises.

Yes that is Gr333n in the background - your photos are very good and very appreciated.

It's not quite tall enough yet, but ma is this going to make an impact from Wacker Drive.

Had some fun with my 200-400mm telephotos lens today. Plan to explore this angle a bit more fro different points along Wacker.

400mm really compresses things...

looking at Harrys last picture it's crazy to think that 3 of those buildings weren't there just a few years ago.

From yesterday around noon

Now I'm sure this has been discussed before, but I must have missed it or i'm such a newbie that I don't know obvious engineering/construction techniques... what are those massive collections of what look like random small buildings that keep getting erected on the WPS site?

Prebuilt form work for the concrete floor plates. Now that we are getting into uniform residential floors they can plug and play same sections so they dont need to be built floor by floor, piece by piece.

Great shot!
