Good point.

Which is something that is done in Phoenix right now as well. People head there from the cold cities (Calgary, Edmonton for example) and take in a few games when the schedule works out, or golf. Not sure that this would be any more popular in Seattle than it would be in Phoenix.

Portland has two pro teams.

Portland Timbers - MLS

They have crazy fans there too, just as hardcore as Sounder fans in Seattle.

Jeldwen Field in Portland.

Oh wow we got robbed by Ben Bishop and the posts.

44 saves on 45 shots... the guy was unreal. We also hit at least 3 posts (I stopped counting after the third one).

Carey Price let in a rare softie and was bad in the shootouts.

Well we got a point to extend our streak to 8 consecutive games without a regulation loss. Still first in the East... I'll take it.

Decent attempt with Chicago, defensive mistakes cost us.

LOL... I though he should have been fined (Wouldn't have been shocked to see 1 game suspension as well) but it wasn't that dirty (especially considering he slows down a little bit). I've seen worse not being suspended this year. Pacioretty did not jump like Tortorella (what an idiot) said... So I say good hockey play with an unfortunate result.

Anyway, McDonagh should not mess with Pacioretty

Look at his feet, they never leave the ice before contact.

That's... nice...

Anyway haters are going to hate...

Led the team with 65 pts last year. Even better production this year with 14 pts in 15 games and once again leads the team in pts.

He plays on the edge... deal with it.

Pacioretty is quickly turning into the biggest pussy in the league. That hit by McDonagh was so soft, that I'm surprised that he didn't give him a hug afterwards.

And are you blind Nicko? He clearly leaves his feet. Its amazing how you were able to use X-ray vision when it came to the Grabovski "bite", but whenever theres clear video evidence showing you to be wrong (like this and the Orr "knee" on Plekanec) you turn into Mr. Magoo

I actually laughed at the TV when Olczyk said that Yakupov made a "dangerous" play and should have been penalized for stepping out of the way from an attempted hit. Would anyone in their right mind take a late charging hit from Carcillo if they had to?

God, hockey has some stupid announcers. I wish the Oilers games were broadcast on NBC. Their announcers aren't retarded.

Yeah I really enjoy watching games on NBC, and I think the Americans are onto something with the early afternoon games too.

I disagree, I like getting out of bed at 11Am on a Saturday and watching some puck. HNIC is still the best to watch though, especially if the Flames plan and Toronto loses.

This is likely the most 'Canadian' thing I've ever read on these forums

Beer doesn't feel weird in the morning, if feels weird in the afternoon after the game is over

I like afternoon games as well, frees up my evenings and allows things to go at a more relaxed pace.

I still like evening games better, it's just nice to spend the day on the couch watching hockey.
