I braved the 40c/100f (not including the 75% humidity of course) heat to get some pictures. This is the nicest its been outside in a looong time. I kid you not.

As you've probably already read, the hole is finally starting.











At first I thought the building looked awkward from this angle, but now that it's taller I really like it.

It looks incredibly tall now. Not even funny anymore - just really scary. I feel bad for the Jin Mao, which is completely dwarfed by now.

Exciting times with the hole too. When will it be topped out? Late September?

I agree.
That's an excellent surprise. I guess that the top will add a dramatic touch at night as well.
