Expansion on the front of Atlantic Motoplex, now owned by the Rallye Group.

Retail Talk & Share

I would say by the size and form of this expansion, as well as it's location at the front of the building, that it will be a new glass faced showroom area. This could end up looking very nice.

The city of Dieppe has put in an explication to Expropriate land to extend Rue du College to eliviate traffic issues on Amirault.

With that I'm wondering if there plans only include expropriating 6 properties, or all properties that would potentially stand in the way of this project because the ay the city is talking about it Rue du College would parallel Amirault, and take on half the traffic so to me it would need to be 4 lanes for that. Some of the properties the city is curently planing to expropriate has housing on the land including but not limited to apartment buildings.

Did they say where they wanted Rue Collège to connect to on the St-Anselme side of Dieppe?

Unfortunatly not this time around, and this is why I'm suspicious of there attemps, and claims that it's only 6 lots they are either trying to take over flat out, or even take part of it over.

Regis Street NBLC seems to have been closed. Acadian Construction has there sign in the window, and there is caution tape all around the front doors. Not sure if they are closed for good, or just renovating the building thought.

There's a sign for a proposed 3-storey office and condo building on the vacant lot immediately west of the Won Wong restaurant on Champlain street in downtown Dieppe. Looks like a nice building. Unfortunate that it's not closer to the core.

Thanks for that it seemed I was not the only person who was unaware because I've seen people walk up there, and try to get the doors open.

Development in Dieppe is good just the same.

The construction of the new Route 15/Harrisville Boulevard Interchange is kicking it up starting April 1st.

Quote:
The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure advises the travelling public that work on the Route 15/Harrisville Boulevard interchange project will necessitate a lane closure on the Harrisville Boulevard bridge. The lane closure will take effect on Sunday, April 1 and continue until further notice.

For the duration of the lane closure, a number of traffic restrictions will be in place.
Northbound traffic on Harrisville Boulevard, heading towards Kent Building Supplies, will not be able to turn left on to Route 15.
Southbound traffic on Harrisville Boulevard, heading towards Dieppe, will not be able to turn left on to Route 15.
Westbound traffic on Route 15, heading towards Moncton, will not be able to exit on to the Harrisville Boulevard exit ramp.
Eastbound traffic on Route 15, heading towards the Route 2 interchange, will be able to take the exit ramp and turn right towards Dieppe but will not be able to turn left on to Harrisville Boulevard.
Route 15/Harrisville Boulevard Interchange

Here's an updated representation of the "dog bone" roundabout proposed for Harrisville/Dieppe Blvd/Route 15 interchange (from your linked documents).

Sounds like some traffic chaos ahead.......

So, if "westbound traffic on Route 15, heading towards Moncton, will not be able to exit on to the Harrisville Boulevard exit ramp", does this mean that traffic from PEI/Shediac/NE New Brunswick headed for the airport will all have to keep on going inbound as far as the Dieppe traffic circle, before backtracking to the Dieppe Blvd turnoff? That's quite a detour! The airport authority should provide an update about this on their website.......

I’m pretty sure that is the case, there is already orange detour signs partially boarded up, but you can see that the detour for the airport will go all the way down to the traffic circle.

I've come across this pic being shared by many on Facebook lately as being the render for the new Harrisville interchange and of course everyone is losing their minds - but it clearly isn't even the same project. For one, the highway is not 6 lanes. Second, those aren't the Holiday Inn/Tims/Shell station that exist in the foreground. And also the render doesn't have the rail spur that's right there either. We could play a game of what else is wrong with this photo lol.

Don't be fooled I guess.

The huge flyover ramp is a dead giveaway...

The building to the Bottom Right looks like an air filled sports dome. None of those in the area, and there would also be a few buildings missing between the Highway, and the missing tracks...

Quick Google Search tells me it's part of the plan for the Highway 99 upgrade in Delta, BC. It's replacing this:

That's a really weird interchange... It's pretty obvious they expanded it on the cheap with the second overpass, but I bet it backs up really badly if there's any traffic on it all with all of those un-signaled crossings.
