Seattle will be getting an expansion and the new team will succeed, along with the return of the NBA.

I believe that Houston, where hockey might be a tougher sell, and Québec City, with its low Canadian dollar, will be getting relocated Franchises. Take you pick of Carolina, Florida, Phoenix or, if the downtown Ottawa arena deal falls through, the Senators as much as I hate saying it (although Light-Rail to Kanata might save it).

Except that the Canucks are thew weaker team, and so you shouldn't be disappointed. You should instead be happy the score flattered the Canucks.

Really gets under your skin, eh? Don't you wish your team had drafted him when they had the chance?

Umm except actually he's right. There's no doubt the Flames are the superior team. You're definitely a little delusional about the Canucks. Calgary is likely going to the playoffs, Canucks not so much.

Like I said, even in our 3rd year of our rebuild we're in it. Big win for the Flames. Even without our blue chippers you still gotta fight tooth and nail to keep ahead of us. We have a superstar still to come...

I'm a Leafs fan.

Besides that the season is not even half way through. There's an expansion team ahead of both the Flames and Canucks so I don't understand the gloating.

They average 42,000 fans for Sounders games as well... Seattle is a much better sports town than Montreal.

The Canucks likely had a chance to fight for that 8th seed this season, but with the loss of Bo Horvat for 6 weeks, tanking is looking like the best option again.

The Seahawks have had a rabid fan base...lately. Go back a few years before their Superbowl win and it's a completely different story. College football is popular there - as it is in virtually any other part of the U.S. but less popular than other parts of the U.S.

The Flames are also about 3 years into a rebuild stage, so don't use that as an excuse. Look at all the key players on the team, with the exception of Mike Smith and Mark Giordano, they are all recent draft picks (Gaudreau, Monahan, Tkachuck, Bennett) Jankowski is looking to be the real deal too.

I'm a Leaf's fan, and the Leafs are obviously a prime example of a rebuild, but I have to give props to the Flames. 4 years ago they looked lost and without direction, now they look to be going somewhere, and mostly on draft picks.

^^or not. I'm beginning to believe that while Edmonton was mismanaged for a long time they are also cursed.
