It's not a slab tower, I like the shape, I don't mind the glass, but so far I'm not a fan of the brick.

ps., that "brick" facade is actually pre-cast sections, concrete I suspect, quite thick, each piece several inches thick, and already finished/colored. Each one very heavy and is lifted in place by crane.

I'm not a fan of the cream/warm color. Though in the sun it looks more off-white, and less yellow.

i still don't understand tho why the building turned out so differently from the renderings. there wasn't any yellow in the renderings, and the balconies were the same color as the brick so that it looked like they extended that part of the facade. as it is, the balconies aren't very visible and the effect is lost.

Lovely pics

Thanks for the shots up above. I send them to my friend who moved back to New Hampshire around the time they broke ground on the first buildings. He's amazed. We used to work together at John's Landing and ate many a lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory.

He said he can't wait to move back to PDX. Just waiting for mom to pass on. He's taking care of her. Hope everybody's having a gr8 summer. ; )

Wow, before I can even get to the cost, I find this terribly annoying.

Okay, okay, I'm being nit-picky, but I if I make enough to pay whatever they are going to charge, I don't want to be baby-talked at. The 'where' 6 times in the first paragraph kinda killed it for me.

Freaking gorgeous tower though. I'd love to live there.

You guys should check out the floor plan for the 2 story corner penthouses on the west and east sides of the tower. That would be a frickin amazing apartment to live in...

Someone from the leasing office for the Ardea (3720... someone should change that name on the thread) said that the park is scheduled to be landscaped and finished by the end of the year.

My father is considering moving into a place there and I went on the tour with him last night. The building is finished up to the 10th floor and the 11th floor is supposed to be done at the end of the week. I was in a hurry and forgot my camera so I have no shots to post, but everything in there is about what you'd expect out of a condo-apartment conversion. If you've seen the website with the slideshow that plays in the backround, the interior is decorated with a similar theme. There are random black and white pictures of some very hot and bothered looking females all over the place, including a multi-story high one in the lobby. It's almost tacky, but it doesn't quite cross the line. All in all I'm pretty excited for him if decides to move in there, its a great set up.
