A few more floors will be losing views inside Providence Park with the upcoming stadium expansion. Per the posting on the gates, the new, larger (100' tall) east side of the stadium will project 10' out over the 18th Ave right of way.

Per the current NW Examiner, the Goose Hollow Foothills League has voted to appeal the Portland Design Commission’s [pending] approval of the Press Blocks.

Parking is already in place as part of the old Oregonian complex - I believe the developer is just building on top of it

There is a deep basement where the printing presses used to be. Parking levels will be there and fully buried. Saved the developer on excavation costs.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but they are also adding parking above grade? If so, that's an enormous amount of parking between all of it. Perhaps the additional parking is for special events at the MAC and stadium?

Council voted 3-0 to deny the appeal [i.e. approve the project].

I love when the city smacks down bogus appeals.
