The eight-story Avenue Grove apartments planned for a site in Midway’s Kirby Grove at Levy Park will be built in the shape of an E to increase the number of units with park views as well as private terraces, the developer said Monday.
The six levels of units above parking will include one- and two-bedroom floor plans, plus studios starting at 620 square feet. The interiors will feature granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, frameless shower doors and frosted glass bedroom doors.
The 270-unit project is being designed by Houston-based Munoz Albin – HOUSE + partners. It will include 15, two-story brownstone-style units averaging nearly 1,800 square feet each. The brownstones will front the parking garage, which will be topped by a pool terrace and fitness center. Exterior finishes will include brick, limestone, glass and metal.
The apartments will be the second building to go up in the 11-acre development east of Buffalo Speedway between Richmond and the Southwest Freeway. The first is an office building for trading firm Vitol and other tenants.
