Just looked at the city document and it's only 120m, doesn't make the list by a long shot. 545-565 Sherbourne St that is. Still nice to see some development on that side of the street.

If anyone has an idea for the «unknown« addresses, even if it's a tentative address, it would be great.

The midrise to Highrise size projects just keep getting taller. 637 Yonge is now almost 160 meters and to be honest I don't really have a good recollection of what the renders look like.

No wonder I don't know what it looks like.

I've never seen it before! Lol

Another look at The Bow, western Canada's tallest for a little while longer.

Sometimes underrated.

175 meters isn't even a thing anymore in Toronto. Nonetheless, Teahouse (175 meters) condos is completely boarded up and it looks like it will be coming down soon. That will mean we have 4 condos going up on Yonge between Wellesley and College and between 165 meters and 198 meters.

Under Construction on Yonge St. (or next to it) in Toronto: http://skyscraperpage.com/diagrams/?searchID=70300811
Actually most of the towers being built on Yonge aren't on Yonge at all, but set back 30 metres or so, behind the 1 & 2 storey buildings lining the street.

A dozen more proposed as well, including Teahouse! Yonge will just be getting more and more crowded.

Yonge Street more crowded! yay!

18 Yorkville - north of bloor also looks like it is moving nice through site prep, and that tower is 188 meters. The skyline just south/north of bloor is getting bulk with towers around the 176-190 meter mark going up currently or about to begin.

All this development will force the city's hand, and yes, they will have to take away a traffic lane in each direction for more sidewalk space. It's gotta happen.

All this development would increase the need for four lanes of traffic as well as wider sidewalks/bike lanes. That is why the popular view of density on this forum can be shortsighted in the simplicity of more is better. It can easily overburden infrastructure that can't be expanded among other things which is why it is the backbone of every planning department.

Forget about bike lanes on Yonge, a better solution is to remove a single lane of vehicle traffic or narrow the lanes and lower the speed limit. That way the sidewalks can be widened without impacting traffic flow. Also, the laneways on both sides of Yonge are not fully utilized, maybe there is some room for expansion there, especially for delivery traffic.

This list is badly in need of updating... almost 3 months now.

If there is any interest, I am offering to create a new similar list and keep it updated regularly.
