7-story, ~40,000 sq ft medical office and retail building with two tenants already signed on. Will take out the Goodyear at 3720 Westheimer

Though it was previously announced in 2016, the original FAA link isn't around. The height for 3300 Main remains '351 as of today.

who has added a number of outstanding drawings to the Houston diagram including the recently completed Market Square Tower (complete with glass bottomed pool...look closely!) and the Marriot Marquis Hotel. New drawings for buildings from 1950s, 1920s, going back all the way to 1910 which have never been illustrated. Great job! Check out the updated diagram.

Marquette Cos. Completes 359-Unit Apartment Tower in Downtown Houston

The 28-story building, which is roughly 25 percent preleased, is the first luxury high-rise to be completed in the area in nearly a decade. Amenities at the property, which was designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects, include a 21,500-square-foot pool, 2,200-square-foot fitness center, dog park, conference room a coffee bar. The property also features 7,400 square feet of ground-floor restaurant space, a 2,000-square-foot club on the 26th floor and a bar and lounge on the 28th floor. Floor plans include studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging in size from roughly 600 to 2,000 square feet. The property will officially open on April 5.

Houston's tech innovation district slated for former Sears building in Midtown

Houston's long-awaited startup hub, which proponents say will help Houston's burgeoning tech scene compete on a national scale, is coming to fruition.

Private and public officials are closing in on a deal to develop the main campus of Houston's innovation district at 4201 Main St. — the site of the former Sears location in Midtown, sources close to the deal told to the Houston Business Journal. Rice University owns the land and will be involved in the innovation district's development, sources said.

Sears Holdings Corp. (Nasdaq: SHLD) had a storefront at 4201 Main St. for 73 years before closing in January 2018. Rice Management bought out the remaining 28 years of Sears’ 99-year ground lease and acquired another 3 acres from Sears. The former Sears store property sits on 6 acres of land, and the parcel contains an additional 3.4 acres of land for development.

The campus will be built over the next two years and is expected to act as the heart of what will serve as Houston's innovation corridor. The innovation district is modeled after similar developments across the U.S. such as 1871, a digital startup incubator in Chicago.
