Construction progress, it seems they are doing a little bit more of a floor per week

It's nice to finally see Citi get a decent-sized neighbor. I should hope more is yet to come in that part of Queen's vertical trend.

RR has plans for 3 more towers to go with this, and then there's some other stuff right here too. This wouldn't really be the thread for it, but yeah, here:

It actually seems quite diminutive, given how big the Citi Tower is... I think it will take another 5-10 200-400' buildings to make the LIC skyline look semi-decent. Even the developments along the waterfront are towers on podiums, so there isn't any bulk/mass to the skyline... besides Citi.

Isn't another tower planned there as a second or third phase of that office development?

Agreed. Hopefully Long Island City will give Queens a large skyline in the future. Manhattan has to not only have large amounts of highrises within it but large amounts surrounding it.

This! The Jersey side of the Hudson and the BK/QNS side of the East River need to flank Manhattan with high-rises. Then perhaps more people would consider NY the #1 skyline in the world, as I think it should be.

The Linc is the first of 4 planned buildings by Rockrose in the immediate area near Court Square. The first 3 are planned rentals, the 4th could be condo or commercial as determined by the market when it comes online.

Does anyone know exactly what lots Rockrose owns there?

BTW - Carlos, thanks for all of these updates through the years...I've enjoyed watching my old 'hood grow through your shots!

As per liqcity.
Quote:
Rockrose has three lots in the area:

The huge swath of land formed by Jackson Ave, 44th Dr, and Hunter St is set to become 10 Court Square, Rockrose’s 25-story behemoth which is rumored to be making the switch from commercial to residential. Perhaps this is because of the soft commercial office market in the city, and also Gotham Center going up just a few blocks away in Queens Plaza..?

A 42-story, 704-unit rental is set for the lot where the beautiful red building used to stand at the corner of 43rd Ave and Crescent St, adjacent to the UN Federal Credit Union. The address is 4300 Crescent St.

Rockrose also owns the triangular lot across the street formed by 25th (aka Crescent) St, Hunter St, and 43rd Ave where a residential building of unknown proportions is rumored to be in the works.
