Guessing you will see small, local businesses rather than one larger chain go into the main floor.

From the CSP twitter feed:

Excited that all the retail and townhouse units have sold! More excited about what we can bring to #yqrdt. http://tinyurl.com/73kjfby

Action

Looks like they've begun digging the pit, they' re moving fast. Funny how these guys have avoided the bogus announcements, have the lowest unnits presold, but are furthest along with construction. It's smart really as it is easier to sell something tangible instead of the other 2 who try to snowball investors with fancy announcements. Ironically, this may light a fire under cap pointe and GOR to get going.

As a follow up to the tweet from CSP above, they were asked what type of commercial we can expect.

CSP responded by saying "licensed cafe, deli, yoga, yoga retail, local fare convenience, wine merchant, florist, etc....open to any suggestions?"

Im not sure if they were giving us some clues or theoretical possibilities. Either way it'll be exciting to see this thing take shape!

I drove by this site at 5 pm today and they were still digging. It looks like they are close to being half done with the excavating already.

I think its getting close to being done. Based on the floor plans for the basement parking from their website the excavation appears to be down to the two tiered bench at the bottom. Just the ramp left to get in and out of the hole.

Right on man! Regina's about to get two new huge residential towers downtown! It's amazing how good nearly every city in Canada is doing. Proud to be Canadian.

There were two mobile cranes on site today... would they be there to set up the tower crane? This thing is going up.

I would think so. When I drove by they had the base for the tower crane on a flatdeck waiting for placement.

Just drove by, the crane is definitely going up. It rises about 30 feet above ground level as of now.

Even St. Johns is getting a ton of projects! Now to just get the territories involved and we're set

Nunavut is going to explode in 20 years. Mark my words. It may not have an ideal climate but the amount of minerals in the ground in that territory is greater than anything the world has ever seen.

Broad Street (northbound) between College and 15th will be constricted this week. (Probably for the erection of the tower crane.)
