I've always loved this old photo of University Avenue in Toronto. It's one of those angles that exudes 'metropolis'.

CBC profiles street fashion in St. John's, stopping people to photograph them and ask where they bought their clothes. I love it.
As usual, Twisted Sisters Boutik, Model Citizens, and Always in Vogue were the big winners today. A few scenes of downtown warming up from this morning:

The Sheldon Chumir Centre in Calgary. Our closest thing to a hospital in our downtown. It is Canada's largest integrated community health centre with over 40 health care programs, the only thing that makes it not a hospital is basically that it doesn't provide for overnight stays.
It was named in honour of Sheldon M. Chumir, a Rhodes Scholar, graduate of both U of A and Oxford, and long time Liberal Member of Provincial Parliament for the riding of Calgary-Buffalo (downtown Calgary).
