PAC was always the coolest graffiti, because they put that in the CRAZIEST hardest to reach areas of the city.
I was also a fan of the one eyed round headed alien graffiti, but that might have just been local to the east end..
Relic was pretty good as well. You can still kinda see one of their tags near the corner third floor window of the Lister Block.

Those pillars are looking sharp! Reminds me of the old hamilton spectator building on king st..
But yeah here's to hoping they don't get tagged.. I still thing the main elevator entrance shoulda been something a bit less modern looking but I guess they were trying to merge modern with traditional.. a bit of an odd mashup imo but hey it still looks great!
Hoping that they have surface treated the pillars .... trust others are as intrigued as I am on what happens next with Core Urban. Must have a pipeline, too early for them to retire! Any insights on the boards?

Yeah when I saw them building the pillars it was basically just them putting like.. wood moulding onto it so I am not sure..
I am hoping they can convince the neighbour next door to the north to JV with them on a development plan. Mid rise, mixed use with restaurants and patios extending from James to Athe Right House.

I don't think the developer who owns that parking lot is actually interested in developing it - makes too much money using it as parking.
Stating they fully intend to develop it "at some point in the future" doesn't mean its going to be developed in the immediate future. Wording such as that usually means they really have no plans for it anytime soon and may toss something in when its convenient for them. For one as I said that parking lot brings in revenue being in the core, and it has other uses too, like the beer gardens at supercrawl. All I am saying is don't expect it to happen anytime soon.
agree just posturing, but this is a local company would not hurt them to have a little pride in community and actually build something of value. At worst they could build a monument to themselves instaed of being Captain Parking Lot!
Does anyone know if The Bread Bar is still planning to open a second location here?
Yes. I asked CoreUrban directly on Instagram

Found this great image - it shows the entire corner and even shows the missing corning on the building beside it - the sooty yellowish one, that is still missing a cornice.
