I know I'm weird, but I like that "SAS building."

^ If that makes you weird - then I'm weird too. I think it's a very elegant highrise.

^Personally I'm not excatly a fan of it - but lacking highrises as much as we do I've learned to live with it

I have a hope they'll re-clad it at some point, making it glassy and cool

Today we'll visit one of the canals in the Old Town just across from the Paliament

That's certainly not weird - SAS Radisson Royal Hotel probably is the most famous highrise building in Scandinavia still (probably more so than Turning Torso). It's a classic featured in many books about skyscrapers etc.

Today.. a visit to a inner city park - the H.C Ørsted's Park

The park was made out of the old inner defenses - like Tivoli and the Botanical garden - and was opened to the public in 1879

By request we'll visit the Botanical Garden today

The garden located on what used to be part of the old inner defenses and is home to 22.000 different plants and 27 greenhouses, with 10 of them open to the public..

In the picture you see the largests of the tropic greenhouses - this one has a great canope walk in the top and several fishfilled ponds in the bottom..

This thread makes me long for the summer even more than I already did. That greenhouse is amazing - I have to go there some day.

Many ( 46 in Copenhagen's urban area )

Copenhagen have always been abundent in kiosks - but 7-Eleven's much larger selection, 24h open and warm food selection made it a success from day one..

They btw operate on a Franchise basis under the Norwegian Reitangruppen

46? That's not that many actually. I think both Stockholm and Oslo has more of them!

Today's trip goes deep into the heart of the Old Town to a place where buildings younger than 300 years are ridiculed and cars seldom dare venture..

This is how Copenhagen primarily looked before the great fire of 1728 that burned down one 3rd of the city

These days the calm narrow streets makes perfect alternatives to the bustling pedestrian shopping streets that also goes trough the old town..
