Lol, I hope you got what I meant! There was nothing personal and I was glad to see you posting.
And wow, Muskavon, you really nailed it with that explanation of why things are so slow on this forum.
I did not know that about the Atlanta threads because this Mobile Development thread is the only one I visit. I also didn't notice that about there being so few posters these days on the entire forum.
Blessed, thanks for the details about the banks and the positive words. I'm really hopeful for the tanker project. It'll be a huge shot in the arm for the city.
I'm glad to hear that about SaltAire. Isn't their focus on blending into the natural surroundings and restricting landscaping to only the native plants? Its an unique & awesome concept, one to promote bayside living.
The Maritime Museum is quite exciting and I'll definitely be visiting once it's complete. I recently visited the Virginia Aquarium in Virginia Beach and its focus is on Chesapeake Bay, so I was imagining how the Maritime Museum of the Gulf will be similar to this museum and I'm really looking forward to it! It'll bring the bay and the Gulf to the public like never before with a full, immersive experience and teach us so much.
As for the bridge, yes, ALDOT will build it no matter what. I'm pleased with the design, myself, because many of the other cable-stayed bridges built elsewhere look quite ho-hum. Even the Dames-Point Bridge here in Jacksonville, while it's impressive with its height and span, is drab in aesthetics. The one near Brunswick isn't so pretty either. Ours, on the other hand, will have the beautiful aqua blue cables and the distinctive Y-shaped towers. That's attractive.
