I just texted my buddy to get the definitive answer on where he took it..

"I dunno, I stole it from Twitter".

Someone fly a drone over the site while you still can before the government makes it impossible to fly some friendly drones around.

If a drone flying over the True North site will bring down a passenger jet, that Jet has way bigger problems!

They're not specifically banned right now, but with these new regulations, there's almost no point in owning one in a city.

Unfortunately, that's not going to happen.

The new regulations took effect the moment it was announced a couple weeks ago. No drone shall fly within a 9 km radius from any airport or aerodrome, nor shall it be flown within 75 m of a building.

Work is really chugging along now! Does anyone know how many people are working on the site?

The idea is to work on them simultaneously, but the office building has deadlines to meet the lease obligations of their new major tenants. The apartment faces no such legal urgency, so it will naturally be less of a priority, in terms of timeline.

I won't be surprised if it goes up by 3 floors at the end of the month. They're really chugging along with the tower now.

Maybe mount it up on the Delta or on the CTV building?

I would think the corner of the Hydro Tower would offer the most consistent unobstructed view.

Yeah thats what I was sort of jokingly referring to. Stupid rules. I get all the reasons but deal with the idiots. The idea that I cant fly a drone over my neighborhood for some video is silly. I guess i can hire a licensed company to do it though. Ohhhhh now I get it.... pffft

Sorry, off topic.

I did hear something about AAA Alarms needing some training for camera work required by PCL. No idea if its related but thought I'd throw it out there. They are being trained on aerial descent...
