Yes. First Baptist became the Calvary Temple and the Calvary Temple saved the tower of the old church when they built a new church about 25 (?) years ago. Isn't Knox Presbyterian now Knox United on Edmonton Street at Central Park? Or did another structure on another site precede the current one?

Knox Presbyterian at Central Park replaced the Giant Tiger Knox Presbyterian. According to someone who commented on my Flickr page's photo of it, the old Knox was torn down in 1927.

Incidentally I saw a nice looking red brick structure underneath the Giant Tiger siding for a few moments when it was being renovated a few years back ...

Ya! That's the one. I was on the bus when it passed by and then later covered up very quickly.

that is a great photo! even has the beautiful leland hotel in the back. that might be one of my top 5 most missed buildings... interesting how they did the masonry work on the upper floors before some of the lower ones...
