Isn't Knox Presbyterian now Knox United on Edmonton Street at Central Park? Or did another structure on another site precede the current one?

Knox Presbyterian at Central Park replaced the Giant Tiger Knox Presbyterian. According to someone who commented on my Flickr page's photo of it, the old Knox was torn down in 1927.

If anyone hasn't seen my flickr historic Wpg. photos and would like to do so, they should be accessible via that link.

1948 Eaton's Christmas Parade Route

From the Free Press:
The parade starts at Redwood
and Main at 9 a.m. and travels
Redwood to Salter and passes Selk-
irk Avenue about 9:15. From there
it winds over to Sherbrook Street
to Portage Avenue at approximately
10:10. It passes Memorial Boulevard
on Broadway around 10.20
o'clock.

Gotcha. Thanks.

Incidentally I saw a nice looking red brick structure underneath the Giant Tiger siding for a few moments when it was being renovated a few years back ...

that is a great photo! even has the beautiful leland hotel in the back. that might be one of my top 5 most missed buildings... interesting how they did the masonry work on the upper floors before some of the lower ones...

That's a great find, Adrian.

The parking ads are also fantastic.
