More on-topic, I didn't see one yet for NY Penn Station and Madison Square Garden. It's probably not even worth it to mention. I'm sure our opinions will be close to 100 percent agreement.

Apology for the delayed response.
Here's another picture from 1909, except from ground level.
All those lines were interconnected through Grand Central Terminal. This was all planned for the proposed Terminal City and a new high end blvd you might recognize today as Park Avenue (which is not built yet in the photo), and also included the super secret platform number 61, aka F.D.R's quick private highway from GCT to the Waldorf Astoria hotel.
