Are those wooden beams? If so it would be great to see those salvaged and re-used somewhere else. Those are pretty impressive.

It doesn't look like wood when I've driven past there, but the curved structure is pretty cool nonetheless.

This is just speculation on my part, but they may be doing training exercises. Seems like busting a hole in the roof of an actual CVS would be much more realistic than any simulation. And why not, it's getting torn down anyhow.

Training makes sense. It's not unusual for fire departments to do that at sites that are about to be demolished. Same thing happened at the old Marble Falls HEB, according to family members who live in the area.

Its more fun when they torch it. I have participated in a few of those, mostly condemned residential though.

Site is entirely cleared by now. Construction should start soon.

From yesterday. "Site ready to break ground" according to GDA. This appears to have reached Porta-Potty status.

That same port-a-potty has been there since the December pictures from corvairkeith... Not the best marker of progress

Bump... No change for almost three months, site still completely dirt. Haven't seen equipment on since since April. Anyone know anything about the delay?

They have still been working through the permitting process. Just last week they had a site plan change approved for "add temporary construction driveways for site excavation & tower construction." Earlier in the year they had another site plan change approved related to utilities.

Even worse, they hauled the port-a-potty away months ago.

What?! Wait...that is bad news....only one port-a-potty for a large construction site in a town that is known for its Tex-Mex breakfast, lunch and dinners??? Oh the humanity...

Good to know. Glad this project is still chugging along.

There are now two port-a-potties on site! Still no construction equipment, though.

Nice. Things get busy after two port-a-potties get dropped off.
