Here we go again! Nice article that only compares prices but nothing else, like how long are they compared to each other?
They are two different things. For one, the Toronto bridge is not even a clear span across:

I couldn't find the lengths of the segments, but they look minuscule to the Peace Bridge's single span of over 425'.

I think the lengths are probably similar:

Chris Harper on Twitter found some documents, he says the Toronto bridge is 91m, roughly 2/3rds as long. That's over two spans, of course.

also, if you compare the width of the ladder (18 inches?), the bridge is only 12 feet wide. The peace bridge is about twice as wide?

The TO bridge appears to be 3-4 metres wide, and the peace bridge is 6 metres wide. At least 50% wider, anyway.

Too funny. So much for having a one of a kind bridge. I wish they would have say where it was manufactured.

I bet Toronto can find some welders that can actually weld.

What a terrible comparison. It's like saying the Bow is the same as Toronto city hall. The peace bridge owns the Toronto one.

Having the concrete deck on probably means that the whole thing doesn't have to be torn spart and started again.

I noticed this morning that some of the tarping has been pulled back from the Peace Bridge.

It looked like there was a lot of bare metal spots on the exposed section, and that it was worked over pretty good. (My phone camera sucks, so I didn't get a decent picture.)

I wonder if they are finally completing some of the rework and are peeling back to repaint? Anyone know?

Hopefully. I would love to walk on this bridge before the world ends next year...

Peace Bridge progress update.

It appears as though the entire bridge has been stripped (or part stripped re-primed entirely) and all of the sections (that I could see) appear to be grey primer. There is some serious cleanup happening at the site as well. I wonder what is going on now?

I went by there a week ago and there was a ton of noise coming from under that tent, glad it's still moving along.

The thing though, the bridge could pop out of the tent anytime, and within a couple days be put in place, being mostly complete.

I imagine the glass, railings, and electrical will be installed after being put in place.
