Seriously, for how expensive these units are, I'd say the interior finish quality is pretty underwhelming. Perhaps the penthouse units look better..
I toured these. VERY cheap interior finishes. Makes me think if they ever convert this to condos they will just gut each unit.

The article states that the developer feels the building is "iconic." It's a great site and kudos to them for building so densely and so high, and the townhome/commercial frontage on 15th etc is great. I certainly wouldn't call it iconic though. Besides its height, is relatively plain-looking. The top looks just truncated or something like 4S but at least 4S has a spire at the top.

Finish (at least on this unit) looks pretty basic, same as any other building. I bet Alta City House has the same lumber liquidators engineered floor and cheap electric range. That track lighting as noted is awful. I can only think that this is a more basic unit. The views are killer though.

I honestly forget this 20 story apartment tower is even there, it blends in with the other post-modern office towers and can’t really be seen from any long-distance skyline angles.

Is the office building portion still happening?

I walked by the site last week and it looked like they were I the process of removing equipment from the site where the office building is supposed to go up. The work trailer was also gone. I guess we'll see one way or another soon.

^ Hey maybe its a good thing the office building part is held off-maybe sometime later a nice taller slender tower will go in there-I'm sure that's part of downtown where you can also build as tall as you want. I once a part of time ago worked in the US Bank tower right across the street (back in 2001-May 2004).

I was kind of thinking the same thing. While I'd love if it another lot along 17th was gone ASAP, the building is a bit short for the location. Getting something in the 500+ ft. range in a few years would be nicer, but I get the feeling that we'll be dealing with a recession by then and won't get either option.

Yeah, you gotta love pablosan's photo.

Strange, fascinating and a must read.. all the way to the end to understand what is going on;

How apartment owners got Denver to pay them to house lower-income Denverites
October 30, 2017 by Megan Arellano - Denverite

The only potential abuse that I could quickly think of was: Assume a couple that is making a combined $5,000 a month wants to rent an apartment. What if only one of them applies on the lease, can they then get "low income" rent rate on their unit?

There was some large equipment, and maybe a crane base, on site last week.

They tore the building down and part of a crane has been sitting onsite for several months now. There hasn't been any activity on the site though.

Not the biggest fan of the exterior of Le Meridien/AC, but I have been inside of it and the first floor really is a great addition to the neighborhood if you want a swanky cocktail place. Plus, if you look at the photo, there is a rooftop bar there as well, which is also an awesome addition. The rooftop bar closed on the 28th and will open back up next spring.

Superior TOD

The town of Superior is in the initial planning stages for converting it's strip malls into a TOD. Everything is very preliminary, but a good step forward.

I think it looks great from this angle!

The backside blank walls are a bit of a bummer but they turned out a little better than I expected. Hopefully they will get covered up by a new building at 14th and California.

I wish developers would put some glass or panels or something to cover up the blank walls but whatever
