I'm not going to lie, because the fact that FMC is now around much buildings, and CC is surrounded by a lot of buildings. (Also the fact that the core is twice the area than FMC core.) But the core is really starting to take off, wouldn't be surprised if we see steel next month, and a crane HAS to be coming soon.

As of noon today from the NCB10 Comcast Tower cam, a platoon of concrete trucks lined up for another pour of the core.

Still no crane which sucks but I'm sure it'll be up by the end of the month at least. It'll be super sweet when you have the CITC, FMC, 1601 Vine, SLS, 500 Walnut, East Market, 1919 Market, and CHOP @ Schulykill cranes all up at about the same time. It's going to look like Philly grows cranes. Hopefully most, or all, of them will be up simultaneously and visible from different angles. Exciting times indeed.

When I saw it, it was about 20 ft out from the left front of the core. (In the webcam) There's still something there, but not as pronounced. Is it possible they poured a concrete base and it has since "dirted" over ?? Or was I seeing things ?? Is 20 ft from the core the correct placement for a tower crane ??

Usually the tower crane pad will have its first section of the mast installed prior to the pour. The first section of the mast would be attached to anchors which go into the footing itself.

went past there this weekend and sort of thought I would see a crane being assembled- but I was wrong. They are getting up pretty high without a fixed crane. I do wonder why.
