Traveling the World | Ongoing

This thread is inspired by Freki's excellent Freki presents Planet Earth. I haven't been to as many places as him. For now, most of these pictures will be of North America, South America, and Europe. Hopefully soon I can make it to more distant places in Asia, Africa, and Australia.

I am not a professional photographer--just someone who likes to travel and take pictures and occasionally winds up with a few good ones.

I will try to update often. Here are five pictures to get started.

I've thought about that. Too time-consuming, though.

What did you think of Montenegro? Seem like a beautiful place.

Amazing! One of my favorite places I've visited. The walk to the top of the old city walls of Kotor is strenuous, but well worth it. Here's the view from the top.

Yeah that is an issue - it can easily take many hours to do a thread and the feedback and views are typically not worth it ( the internet was better in this regards back before all the streaming and social media )

Thanks! Definitely Seattle and Olympia National Park this summer for a wedding. Hopefully somewhere outside the US before then, but I don't know where yet.

That's true, I hadn't thought about that. Compared to memes and gifs, I guess plain old photos seem boring to many people.

very true and they do take up a lot of time. however, there are many other reasons to do the threads. for family and friends to see, for example.

anyway, looking forward to more of this around the world journey!

Theme of the week:
Pedestrian Streets

A week with no cars! I'll start with a great example in the US, the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder.

Fantastic thread thus far... looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us! Thanks for sharing!

Glad to see little Montenegro represented here too. What an incredibly beautiful place... I was lucky enough to spend a day there this August... quickly realized that it deserved to be much more than just a day side trip from Dubrovnik!!

This is great, thanks for sharing! Kinda fun to scroll slowly down and try to guess the city before seeing your caption.
