Geez, I just realized that looks like the exact same load you shot, Dave. Were you over there around 1:00 or so?

That's it? Was hoping it would go a bit taller. Oh well, still a nice tower, and amazing how fast a builder can take a tower up when he or she wants to.

No name says "quality" like Putzmeister:

Taking down the 555 Mission sign. Perhaps they need to remove it to lay down the fireproofing goop:

Starting the next tier of glass:

Is the reflectiveness of the glass supposed to vary that much?

Did you notice how the lip of the section that is covering the brick portion has a prism lighting effect on it? This curtain wall is all about bouncing light around in many varying directions. Makes it an interesting building to walk around.

Welded? Aren't they aluminum? Welding even stainless steel is a pretty specialized process I believe. And I'd be surprised if those panels with the glass in them could be welded without cracking the glass.

Looking at the photo, I'm not sure what is going on. I'm wondering if they are welding something behind the panel--possibly the bracket. I would also think those would be welded before the panels were installed, but perhaps they forgot one or something.

Jaime's husband's team is moving right along:

The backside:

I love the contrast between the hard metal fins above and the soft glass fins along the side:

I couldn't quite get the whole thing in frame and didn't have time to move around until I could:

Nice to see new shots from you Dave, it was getting quiet around here.
555 Mission is progressing very well, and that prism effect looks nice as always.

Great progress on this one too. I was hoping that the storm wouldnt do much damage to any of these buildings, and at least it looks to be that way. Looks like they have a few more levels of fireproofing to go.

I dragged my 400mm lens downtown today to see if I could find that hawk again. I couldn't find the hawk, so you get close ups of the gang here instead:

Mario is having a tough day....

I'd like to feel sorry for him, but that hard hat doesn't help elicit a lot of sympathy from me.

I'm just kidding. You know we love you Mario, despite your taste in football teams.
