Very nice. Makes progress on the building very clear indeed.

Prompt and postitive feedback, thanks. I will try to post some more as they make progress and I may be able to vary the perspective a bit from different floors in the building.

...And if you share photos of any of the other new buildings going up visible from your windows, now and in the future, that would be great also. Welcome to the SSP Forums, JAC6!

this is the best tower of the current wave by far imo. it's clear that KPF still knows how to do a mostly-glass curtain wall skin. very very nice, and the massing is clean too. just enough articulation to avoid being a refrigerator but not so much that it becomes fussy and arbitrary.

the transformation of mission street from 3rd to beale is pretty amazing since 1999 -

completed or u/c
101 second street 26 stories
the paramount 40 stories
st regis 41 stories
560 mission 31 stories
555 mission 33 stories
301 mission 60 stories

soon to be u/c
535 mission 27 stories

pipe dreams / future - in order of likelihood
350 mission ±26 stories
transbay tower ±80 stories
1st & mission (piano) ±100 stories

pretty incredible little boom - assuming 535 mission tops out by the end of next year that's 7 25+ story towers on a 5 block stretch in less than 10 years!

I wouldnt say 555 mission is the best, personally I like 301 mission much more. But i will say that the nice thing about mission street is that all of the towers being built are different. 101 second, paramount, st regis, 555, 560, 301, and soon to be 535 are all unique. It is the one street in SF where it looks like different people designed each building.

Welcome JAC6! What a great perspective. Can you point your camera out the other side of the building and get some shots of 301 too?

We're closer to 301 Mission so I can't get the same sort of perspective and 50 Fremont obscures a great deal, but I'll see what I can do. We have a nice unobstructed view of 555 Mission, however, and I will continue to monitor the progress there.

Thanks! You should also have a great view of 535 when that starts.

I was right about 301 Mission being mostly blocked by 50 Fremont (I'm in 425 Market), but I'll post what I got in that thread. But here's 555 Mission from today. The first two are from about the 30th floor, at different times of the day. The third is from a few floors up and from a different part of the building, and the fourth is from an afternoon trip to the ATM. Sorry about the lighting of the second and fourth photos.

After only looking at it from below or a distance, it's really great to see it from that angle up close.

Yes I did, Jamie -- it is great to get he inside scoop!

Arty photos for northbay:

Installing the ground floor glass. This really makes quite a difference; I hope it will be added at the front of the building soon.

Overall progress:

They have indeed installed the rest of the ground floor glass. This really helps make the building look more complete.

As you see, once they reach the next setback one will have to really look up to see the unfinished parts:

Not sure what is going on here. The panes look like they are either wrapped in plastic or broken:

Overall:

Those panes just look like they have an exceptional amount of dust on them to me. You can see hand prints and swipe marks on the edge where they were handling them.
