Indeed they are "high end rentals". I actually emailed them asking prices for a one bedroom out of curiosity. Also to get an idea of what I could rent out my one bedroom in 150 Main West for if need be. I couldn't find the email, but if I remember correctly it was somewhere around $1200-$1300 a month for the one bedroom (don't think that includes utilities). Seems a little steep to me...

This project may prove an economic disaster then. I mean do they really think people will be willing to pay that for this place?

I would have been OK with the development if the price point matched the construction.

Exactly, anything over $1000 is too much IMO. Makes me wonder what the luxury rentals at Bella Tower across the street will be renting for then...

I think they could get over 1000. Admittedly the construction might be shoddy, but there aren't many options for brand new apartments in Hamilton. The apartment stock is pretty old since not much got built since the seventies. Plus vacancy is pretty low right now.
