There is also that newish site, cannot recall the name, where as you get closer to the game prices decrease. Buddies regularly buy tickets for 50% off, but it is USD.

I officially stopped watching Oilers this season after their 4-0 loss twice in a row late December.

I love the Oilers and I stuck with them while they lose. But if they can't even put an effort to make it entertaining while they lose, why waste my time. They have a duty to their fans and they are not fulfilling it.

Thanks for the ticket site suggestions. Truth be told, I just want to check out the space!

It's hard to be an Oilers fan now, after living in Edmonton during the Gretzky/Messier/Coffee/Anderson/et al years. Everything since then, all across the NHL, has been pick-up hockey in comparison.

^head to Ford Hall before the game, explore the new community rink area, stay and watch the game for free in Ford Hall.

Great game tonight....action action.

Psst...hey Toronto control center....That was a goal 100%. Absolutley NO goalie interference. No one can ever convince me those people calling the shots in T.O are not biased against the Oilers.

K I turned the game on in the 3rd period HAHA.

So a little swipe of the goalie stick while evidently trying to get out of the way is goalie interference; but Kesler 100% noticeably holding Talbot's leg pad is totally fine???????

NHL is so corrupt.

Connor's reaction after the eventual shoot-out winner was fantastic. Officiating needs an overhaul.

No one is going to admit it but are the Oilers in tank mode?

You cannot be that bad.

If you looked closely at the Oilers during the national anthem. You can see them ready to lose!!!

I wonder if those young hockey players are partying too much at night. Playing with a hangover is a no-no if you are paid millions.

I liked Cam Talbots F bomb rant - at least someone is showing some emotion on that team.

I would love to be a fly on the wall of the dressing room and listen to the team dynamics - something is really missing in there.

Yeah...someone get mad. Its like millenials have taken over the Oilers dressing room. No One seems to be accountable.

Council lifts ban on combative sports events in Edmonton
February 27, 2018

Today, City Council voted to remove the temporary restriction on combative sports events in Edmonton, effective immediately.

A bylaw restricting permits or licences for combative sports events in Edmonton from being issued came into effect December 9, 2017. Council enacted the bylaw in response to recommendations from an independent, third party review following the death of Tim Hague after a boxing match in June 2017. The review resulted in 18 recommendations on how to improve fighter safety and strengthen overall industry oversight and monitoring in combative sports.

Council lifted the moratorium on combative sports events after reviewing progress reports from Administration and the Edmonton Combative Sports Commission on work to implement priority safety recommendations. Administration and the Commission have been working with industry on how to increase fighter safety and strengthen industry stewardship.

“I am confident that satisfactory progress has been made on recommendations that will enhance fighter safety,” said Mayor Don Iveson. “Although more work remains to be done in improving combative sports regulation in Edmonton, the way has been cleared for combative sports to safely return to our city.”

Administration will bring another update on the progress in implementing the report recommendations to the May 23, 2018 Community and Public Services Committee meeting. The City continues to support and call on the province to establish a Province-wide Combative Sports Commission.
