This building's ceilings are not any higher than any other building in particular. Today buildings, ranging from low rises to highrises to skyscrapers, are being built with higher quality as time goes on and one of those characteristics includes higher floor-to-floor height in newer buildings.
Toronto's slab to slab heights haven't changed much and likely would be considered very short in comparison to most US markets. One difference is our market has been largely built on keeping costs down and affordability up which means cramming as many units within the allowable height. Trump's slab to slab heights are a huge exception to the usual 2.95 metres.

Good observation! On another topic, this building will be very well position being right where it will be downtown and both this and BAW will compliment each other nicely! Sure Trump is crunched in with other tall buildings, but that's the beauty of living in a major city, your in a canyon of other fellow skyscrapers.

Yup... NewYork city has plenty of these situations (every square inch of the city is made use of no matter how tight the fit!)... The financial district should be like this and in Trump's case it is!...

THIS is downtown !

Yeah, I noticed how large the floors are in the skylobby of this building, so I'd only have to assume the residential floors and hotel floors are equally spacious.

That's how you make 60 floors into a 900 ft building, the MLS Tower which is 54 floors is only 610 feet. And there you go... 300 feet difference with just 6 floors more for the Trump Tower

I'll have to hold judgement on this skyscraper's design till it's complete but I'
m sure it'll be a great addition to Tdot's skyline...

True, but also Trump just simply has higher floors all around than the average Canadian skyscraper as another forumer pointed out. I did notice that some floors are higher than others, but over all, its floors are higher than most other residential and mixed use buildings in Toronto.

I do like the design for what it is... It really does fit into the skyline and makes the most out of the puny site... It has a mixture of old and new in its design (with the granite and glass mixture)... It also has a nice spire at the top,

Many people dislike the design but i think it is a great addition to the skyline and the city

*it's also gonna be Canada's 2nd tallest building when complete

***i wish they could have made the spire a little higher so it could reach the 1000 foot mark!..so close so why not!

Now going up on the east side of the building
Drum thinks the panelling will reach the north face by the weekend
He also included a night shot in which we can now see through the cladding to the parking decks behind the glass

The 'real' roof height of Trump is approx. 240M, or about 4 metres per floor, about equal to office tower floor-to-floor heights, but higher than residential. Above that there is the curved roof element and above that a very thin spire.

2. Trump: The cladding is making this
building, remember how scared we were
when we looked at the exposed ground
level concrete, now with this exterior we
are all going gaga (lady gaga) for this
building and what it will do for the ground
level experience at bay and adelaide. The
finishes are being built with top quality
materials and if there is an LED feature
which is also added to the side of the
building it will be a nice compliment to
the fixture at the BA Center across the
street.

I agree... (gaga,... epic!)

The cladding on this building is eye candy!
It adds some nice colour to the intersection and with the fins/led lighting, its gonna look sweet!!!

Not to mention the spire which will look sick from Bay and Adelaide!!!

Bay Adelaide and Trump are SOOO tall and SOOO close together!!! its gonna be claustrophobic (in a super density good way!!!)... i wish all are street canyons were this tall and this dense....

Many of our street canyons are to short (like some stretches on Yonge)... i can't picture Spiderman swinging on 5 story buildings!
