SD Fan: The 32 floor twins are already going up that has started. This 41 floor across the street I am not sure. Does anyone know if they have started site prep for that tower?

The 43 floor tower is not the Block Bosa project that is 7th/8th not 10th. I have no idea which one that is referring to.

I thought the 32-story twins shown was 11th & Broadway, which is being developed by Pinnacle right?

Nice, and you're right. I think it might be one of the taller towers being proposed out there. I'll have to look back on some earlier renders I posted some months back.

Isn’t Mr. Briggs now in the awkward position of being outed for what he really is? Seems he might have a tougher time going forward anyway.

I'm pissed, I want to get that thing going sooner and hope a recession doesn't delay it. What have you guys heard?

Even before the fault line issue I thought it was always a 2020/2021 start time? Starting right after the lease period would have been pretty optimistic for a project this size.

LA made Amazon's "cut" but that's it for CA. Otherwise it's many of the usual relocation suspects, including Boston and Atlanta, which some think are the front runners.

I’m thinking Texas, Denver, or Toronto. Maybe Miami??

If you look of the map of the 20 cities, the density of choice cities favors the North East, especially near D.C. I predict that Amazon wants to have more governmental influence.

Yeah, it sure seems that way, with three of the sites all being in close proximity to DC. Jeff Bezos also recently purchased a home in the DC area, for what it's worth.

Not the best day for photos, but noticed the new Pacific Gate lit up and had to take some photos, its subtle but I'm a sucker for light features. Heres also Savina, and 520 Ash progress, Carte Hotel's crane has gone up just to the left of 520 Ash.

Drastically changed the look of the skyline at night. It's a lot brighter than it appears in the photo I posted. I'll see if I can take some night shots this week.

Thanks for the pics! Yeah a night shot would be great, it's hard to see in the daytime. It's just the long white line down the side of the building, right? It's nice, it highlights the slenderness of the tower, which is good for our skyline.

I saw the light a few nights ago...I think it's too bright, to the point of drowning out the background. To make matters worse, it's hidden from certain angles (unlike, say, Emerald Plaza, which is visible 360 degrees). It might look better when both towers are completed, or when Manchester finishes his project, but I don't know. What do others think? I suggest seeing it in person.

My guess would be the Washington D.C. area (including norther VA or MD suburbs) might be the one, with Austin or Dallas being a second choice. Washington has the advantage of being near Mr. B's Wash. Post plus being close to the government that makes decisions that matter for 'Zon like taxes, anti-trust etc.

Maybe they are still tweaking/testing it. By the way, is this building officially open yet?

Some of the units had lights on but it’s still under construction. I just called the Pacific Gate office at they told me the building still has a few more months of construction before people can move in.
