Toronto Star does an article on 1 Yonge Project: 6 Towers: 75 floors to 88 floors.

In fact it's 70 Floors to 88 Floors and one office tower 40 floors.

No supertall here - HOWEVER.... the 272m does not include the roof element (mechanical) so this could still be over 300m.

The tallest of the buildings will be 88 stories (272m).

Buildings range from 35 stories (136m) to 88 stories (272m).

Site is compromised of 5 mixed-used buildings and 1 office building.

Development application taken by mahdial_x5.

Interesting layout, I like the pedestrian scale extention of Harbour towards Freeland. The towers, I wish one of them could have at least hit 300 meters. Still though, I'll look forward to seeing some more detailed renderings of the towers themselves.

Nice to see the update, but am too disappointed in that at least one tower isn't breaking the 300m mark. I know there's still time yet, we can but hope.

That is one seriously big roof element, so there is still a chance it breaks 300 meters.

Redonculous that, once again, an 88-storey building here in TO doesn't break 300 m or (roughly) 1000 ft. Granted, it's a rather arbitrary benchmark, but this is again indicative of the Toronto Cheapening™.

So damn annoying. We have the most buildings in development in the world? All of them won't even reach 1000ft. Bummer. Time for something taller than FCP!

And indeed, it does make sense – at least when seen, as Mr. Pontarini suggests, from a considerable altitude. Glimpsed from up there, the first few miles of Yonge Street will soon seem like a narrow corridor lined by massive buildings, including Great Gulf Homes’s 75-storey One Bloor and MOD Developments’ 60-storey Massey Tower, both designed by Mr. Pontarini. Adding an 88-storey skyscraper, together with a few other companion-pieces ranging between 40 and 80 storeys, at the bottom of Yonge Street will merely be like putting a “bookend” (the architect’s word) on a long shelf of large “books” that already exist (or will soon exist).

I took a very close look at the elevation drawing and it appears the roof element is approximately 23 metres high, making the total height 295 metres. It's close, but it'll be a stretch to break 1000 feet.

Thanks for the info Koops. Painfully frustrating that it's so close to that magic figure. Still a fantastic height that will look great, and add in a nice way to Toronto.

Oh no, it's York Quay Neighbourhood Association yapping again!!!! These are the folks that are ultimately going to get their way in the end and have this proposal chopped down.

Ulla Colgrass is "“very concerned” about the congestion that could result from the addition of thousands of people at One Yonge"

We want shops and restaurants facing the streets, libraries, schools, hospitals,” she said. “Not everything has to be on a huge scale. We want spaces for outdoor markets and art shows.

There she is - I think it's time she moved if she's so concerned about all the development in her "neighbourhood".

"As the One Yonge application starts winding its way through the city’s bureaucracy, and public meetings get underway, we can expect to hear plenty from Ms. Colgrass and her colleagues in YQNA."

Yay for us, YQNA!!!!!!
