I think Reflections was the big one when I was there. But I'm not sure if that was the name.

Triangles was the one in Moncton.

True.

I find Starbucks hard to sit in and hang out, though. I prefer the local shops downtown. Aqua has a pride flag on their door. And Hava Java is ALL GAY ALL THE TIME.

Jeddy, where the place we all went for coffee after the Hilton public hearing? That was a nice place too.

Reflections is one, which is located in the downtown in a building that is set to be re-developed, so the club needs to find a different location.

Menz Bar is another, for the older (leather lovin'?) crowd, slightly north of the downtown.

I'm bad. I don't often support the local coffee shops. I need to change my behaviour.

I do, at least, support Canadian companies: Tim Hortons and Second Cup.

My mother's turned me off of Tim Horton's. She's not a big boycotter... but she refuses to shop there because of the way the company pushed out and then treated the Horton family.

Jeddy, where the place we all went for coffee after the Hilton public hearing? That was a nice place too.
it was Sofia's Bistro. Another one would be coffee maters and coffee and company is nice too.. OH and the sprout which is a vegetarian restaurant. there's another food place on Duckworth that has the pride stuff in the window too. I don't know if you've been to Rocket but that coffee place is getting a lot of great praise ... god we have a lot of local coffee shops hahaha and most have high gay clientele. I'm really surprised that we do not have a gay magazine or gay guide etc. .. hmmm even locals do not always know of all the hot spots .. business idea!!!

Well, we have The Scope. It's not gay but it covers the arts scene relatively well so... lots of gay coverage.

The one in Moncton was called Triangles when I worked there. I can't remember much about the area, except that it was in a basement. You'd walk down the stairs directly to coat check. To your left was the dance floor/back bar, with a couple of seating areas. To your right was the main bar and more seating areas/tables.

It had a strange atmosphere. The drag queens were world class, they had a karaoke night, there were a handful of best-looking-guys-in-a-small-city with attitude. Interesting presence of French. LOTS of women, most straight but also lesbians, ALL the time.

This is where we all ended up last night for our forum meet. We were slightly underdressed - except Copes, as always.

Can you even get in there from Water Street? You think the address would be McMurdo's Lane.

Having spent my first night in a St. John's LGBT bar (actually my first night in a LGBT bar anywhere) I have to say that they mix a fantastic double rum and coke.
