I don't know, seems like there is a crane shortage in Halifax, where 17 are in use according to this recent article, which would translate to a shortage in St. John's where they are often not used even for highrises and midrises. There is one in use at MUN, and that is apparently the only one in the city. I think the one installed this week is the main crane they will be using for this project. Also the structure of the building is unusual being half concrete (parkade section) and half steel (office section) which might, in it's complexity, require a non-standard crane.
