They're finally back underway in the SE corner of Telus Sky after pounding through the foundations of Art Central.

Thanks for the pictures.

Can never get enough One Bloor, 22 more floors?? That's gonna look ridiculous tall!

I took some pictures of Harbourplaza yesterday, I'll upload the pictures later this morning.

Harbourplaza Construction Update (Two Towers: 236 meters, 224 meters)

Harbourplaza condo is the "one floor" you see coming off the podium not the taller under construction tower in the background.

If only the original building on the NE corner was kept instead of the bunker RBC that's there now...

They've made some pretty significant progress on Telus Sky this week, definitely past the foundations of Art Central now.

Didn't realize it but yeah, everyone of the buildings in the background was built/completed in the last 5-6 years. The oldest buildings being the Maple Leaf Square Towers (2009) just behind the Historic 60 Harbour Building.

indeed. I've never seen that building before what a loss. It would have been a perfect building for some upscale retail and a landmark for Yorkville.

Hudson Bay Centre was completed before the building was demolished. Just a dank, dirty old building at the time. Kinda like how we treat buildingsbuilt from that time now.

Not a bad little building. The top floor is a little strange. Wonder if it was a later addition.

Definitely looks like it.

I thought it was an addition as well but in this image it looks like it's part of the original. It's sad to think that building could have actually be left in place and the HBC Complex didn't need to adjust it's footprint. Just one of the many needless demolitions of Toronto's architectural history. I like to think we are taking a bit better care of our history now.
