1 Eglinton East is a zoning exercise. The owner is not going to build it. They are hoping to cash in.

2221 not on hold.

Very much under construction.

The freeze is on approvals for new developments. Not what has already been approved for construction.

There's the Broadway and Redpath project (38 floors).....uh, not sure about anything else at this time.

Sorry then, I was wrong... even though I want those towers built, the infrastructure is lacking big time for that scale of development. Right now lots of those streets are only 2 lanes wide and have SFH on them.

No question there's an infrastructure deficit vis a vis the density planned. I guess 90 Eglinton East is also being delayed for the time being?

It's not just Yonge & Eglinton. We'll be seeing more moves like this now that the OMB is gone.

And it's not for that long either. The original timeline for the secondary plan in that area was for final amendments to be given to council for vote during Q2 2018; a process that began in 2014.

This is a 6 to 9 month delay if nobody does anything silly.

In terms of that sort of cladding for the balconies, this is true, though I meant a fully wrapped-around-balcony tower with a fairly similar floorplate in my previous post.
