Aussie in New York (phone camera version)

First time in New York City. These are from my phone - my SLR pictures are better. I'll upload them when I get a chance. Enjoy!

Gigantic as always. That leader...
Who doesn't wanna be NY?
Paris surely does.

Take care of yourself, though; don't have too much of their unhaelhty fast food or soda.
I still can see some over there in the need of severe diet.

I noticed you guys in Australia usually looked fit, in good shape on the other hand.
Indeed they often do more sports than fast food in your country.

Actually, New Yorkers are among the fittest because they walk more, drive less than other Americans. I was in New York for a week three weeks ago and I can attest to that. That said, I wasn’t blown away by the food offer in NYC. I think Montreal and Paris are a better deal pricewise for quality stuff, no contest.

No big deal, NYC is no better and nothing special than Sydney or Melbourne.

We actually were staying btwn Central Park and Times Square, but traveled on a metrocard for a week. So we had meals downtown, uptown, Hell’s Kitchen twice, one good Israeli, one fail Eye-talian. We had a couple of thais, one in Williamsburg; good and cheap, and one near Wall Street; bland and smallish portions. We had a decent meal at a little French BYOW in the Waterfront section of Brooklyn which charged a corkage fee, unknown to us, even though the bottle was a screwtop.

We had an intersting meal at a Cuban-Chinese place near Columbus Circle that was indeed inexpensive huge servings but was rather insipid all told. The only pizza we had wasmnot to die for, but my bad, we chose a chain called Ray’s.

Your comment is pure sour grapes, jealousy, and/or stupidity. Sydney and Melbourne are spectacular, but NYC is far bigger than both of them combined and offers a lot more.

Murphy de la Sucre is skyscraperpage.com's version of a Russian bot. He/she never has anything positive to contribute, just snide and strange commentary.

I agree. If he posted comments like that in a Chicago or Atlanta thread, he'd be banned.

NY is like a white, Catholic man. Everyone feels carte blanche to insult it, but if a New Yorker said anything about anyplace else, there would be hell to pay.
