Vancouver Radio Station

Which radio station do you like the best? And why? I choose the Beat 94.5 GREAT morning show and music, though it's a bit repetitive.

You may choose as many as you like! =D

EDIT: oops, typo - 95.3 FM is Z-95

rock 101, Z-95, And the Fox. why the three? because when one puts a crappy tune on or commercials, i switch to the next.

although Z-95 is the only one that I can listen too in fanny bay...

I'm all over the dial, but most often AM 1130 for news. Whatever is least annoying during my commute.

By annoying, I mean:

- radio hosts who try to be funny. Involves stupid jokes and irritating laghter.
- when not talking (blah blah blah), they'll play music from a short list of songs and repeat them later in the day... and the next morning.... I don't mind Justin Timberlake music once in a while, but if I hear it for the second or third time in the same day I'll change stations.

It's all mainstream music. Seems like there is a lot of great music out there that isn't getting played here. That's why I've also got a CD player.

Back in the olden days, 1040 Team used to be a Coast 1040, a very cool alternative station. It switched formats when it couldn't get permission to switch to the FM band which sucked.

These days I listen to the radio mostly for news/talk.

Of the music stations, I like 106.3 Aboriginal Voices the best.

Ugh I cant stand the beat, such a cop-out of a radio station.

Rock 101 does it for me, they may get a little repetitive at times, but at least they repeat GOOD music.

haha anytime man...

just for the record i did say "Rock 101 does it for me", I diddnt mean to knock anyone, i just resent the beat for totally bailing on being Vancouvers first hip hop station (even though it was a pretty sub par hip hop station too).

I don't listen to the radio, but my ex does, and when I'm visiting my kid over at her place, she usually puts on Rock 101 in the background. That's as close as I get to radio lately. If I decide to install a stereo in my car, I may have a better answer in the future.
