[Langley] Willoughby Town Centre

There has been a lot of development in the Willoughby area of the Langley Township and construction has finally started on the "Willoughby Town Center," a commercial hub that includes retail, commercial office space, and apartments. So far an RBC Bank and a Loblaw's 'Independent' Grocer are confirmed.

Below are some concept pictues feel free to discuss the area.

Yeah, there's some serious residential development going on there. Unfortunately the area is only accessible via some pretty poor rural roads, so unless the Township spends a fortune upgrading the road network it's going to be pretty brutal in a couple of years. Oh, and there's no transit.

There are upgrading the rural roads around the area too. 208 St. is going to become 4 lanes.

I walked over to the opening of Hakam's YIG on Wednesday. Got a free shopping bag, some cookies, a $5 card and of course cake, hot chocolate, lots of samples, etc..

Looks like the RBC and liquor store are under construction... but there is a LOT of room for growth yet...
