awesome thread I've been waiting awhile for another good atlanta thread and you deff hit the spot on that one. great photos. When you get a chance post more atlanta photos if you can.
Excellent photos! You and I have a similar eye for downtown Atl as I literally was out taking photos at the same time, and captured a few of the exact same angles
I've never been to Atlanta, and, though I know it's a hip and vibrant place, I'm also used to hearing about all of the sprawl. I pictured something more akin to downtown Houston, I guess. (I don't mean that as a knock on Houston.) I had no idea Atlanta's was so urban-- so many narrow streets, handsome architecture and great vistas. It seems really dense and pedestrian friendly. Thanks for sharing.
From the title of the thread, I didn't realize the thread was of Atlanta.
Very nice shots of parts of Downtown Atlanta (mostly Peachtree Center, Fairlie-Poplar and some Five Points). You even captured some Mitchell Street and Broad Street areas south of Five Points. Areas that you don't normally see featured unless its the government buildings (City Hall, State Capitol, Fulton County Courthouse, etc).
I like that you concentrated on areas that natives use and not the more touristy areas like CNN Center / Aquarium / Olympic Park - not because they are not interesting but because those areas are featured more often.
And then to top it off, the child. Nothing warms your heart and spread joy like seeing a happy, healthy child.
