Talking Downtown Atlanta at Dusk: 6/10/2008 (36 Pics)

Getting these uploaded about an hour after shooting them.

I got dat need 4 speed...

Here we go...

14th Street Bridge minus roadbed

TWELVE Centennial Park and Allen Plaza stand tall

The new huge TV screen/billboard at Allen Plaza (this damn thing is bright as hell when turned on)

W Hotel at Allen Plaza, finished (crane was finally removed on Saturday). Neat how the Westin Peachtree Plaza is reflected in the building too.

45 Allen Plaza (Ernst & Young Building)

Peachtree Summit Building, with AT&T and Bank of America Plaza peeking behind

The Medical Arts Building, which has seen better days

SunTrust Plaza

Hyatt Regency Hotel

Walkway about 300 feet over Peachtree Street, connecting the Peachtree Center complex buildings

Georgia-Pacific Tower and 191 Peachtree

Old and new harmonize (Candler Building, Equitable Building, and Rhodes-Haverty)

Protective canopy for the aforementioned buildings (while fixing tornado damage)

The Central Branch of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library

The currently beaten up Westin Peachtree Plaza

One Atlantic Center, about three miles away

Americas Mart pedestrian walkways over Spring Street

Even more bridges

The Omni Hotel

Centennial Tower and 2 Peachtree

Still-damaged Philips Arena sign

The Glenn Hotel

GSU Robinson College of Business and William Oliver Buildings

The central part of the Georgia State University campus (GO PANTHERS)

Hurt Building

SunTrust Building (soon to be GSU's offices)

Flatiron Building, with Woodruff Park in the foreground

Flatiron Building, with 34 Peachtree in the background

The new World of Coke

The Fishtank (aka Georgia Aquarium)

America's Mart bridges over Harris Street

The ugliest setup of pedestrian bridges ever...

The former GSU Village dorms (now part of Georgia Tech)

14th Street (with orange barrels)

The 14th Street Bridge is out for the next two years. Fun...

Construction for the new 17th Street exit is underway (almost went off-roading, but my Civic probably wouldn't have enjoyed it)

Atlantic Station in the sunset (I stopped traffic to get this shot)

THE END (for now)
