I'm a cynical guy, but every aspect of this thing is exceeding the expectations that I had when it was first announced. This is one that's going to be much more impressive in person than in any render.

The view from the Belmont Plateau is undoubtedly one of, if not the best view of the Philadelphia skyline that exists. Even better, CITC makes a big impact in this view and University City elongates the skyline seamlessly from this perspective which means that Schuylkill Yards will make this angle even awesomer! (<<not a word)

The CITC core got some current funky set up adjacent to the crane. Anyone have any idea what's going on. Are they done with the concrete core and switching over to steel framework for the remaining height and building trusses like they did for the FMC tower?

I noticed that too. I was wondering if it had something to do with the core supposedly not being plumb (by 3 inches), which some have reported on this thread.

I think it may have something to do with the thinning of the core in the hotel section.
