Good. This corner has a Skytrain and WCE station and it is grossly surrounded by surface parking lots and suburban malls. The Tri-Cities should have a true urban core, and that's what this area is becoming.

Glad to see this get a page, as someone in Coquitlam I've been pretty interested by this project. The abandoned former car dealership property has "MARCON" banners surrounding it, so I'm guessing they've already acquired all the properties. I'll definitely take some pictures when they get around to demolishing the old car dealership.

yes, Coquitlam only has two hotels both in West Coquitlam, this is badly needed.

Exciting times.

How close is this project to proceeding to sales? Has phase one been approved?

Rezoning for Phase 1 was approved in September last year. DP application for one tower was submitted in October.

Thanks! So by "one Tower" you mean N1, the 177 metre tall tower?

Been a while since there was any news on this project. Anybody heard anything? Is there a timeline for when construction might begin?

Vancouver is relatively fortunate not to have too many giant autopia style 'parking craters', at least compared to other cities in North America.

The two worst (biggest) ones, in my opinion, are the area around Coquitlam Centre, and the area around Willowbrook/200th St in Langley.

They both have (or will have) skytrain access, so they should both be on the way to a more civilized existence.

This project is an early step in fixing the Coquitlam crater, so I wish it all the best. Hopefully Translink is making progress on developing their park and ride across the street as well.
