I could live in Bristol.

To visit (and maybe to live as well), both Cambridge and Oxford were incredible.

Liverpool was frustrating, I just spent a few hours and it's obvious
it deserves much more.

They say Worcester is the most English city.

I had a crush on Winchester because of «English» clichés : fog, no tourists,
labyrinthine, gloomy, large trees, quiet pub with a fireplace.

These are great, too. Each of your sets has one town I know and another I don't. I adore Chester, but didn't know Liverpool was so nice.

You visited some of the same cities like me on my trip in April; Birmingham and Liverpool.
Nice to see Liverpool with some sun, right now I am working on a website from my trip to Liverpool. It must be one of the cities with the largest number of statues of people.

Nice pics! Especially appreciate the Liverpool pics, as I've never been.

I always pictured Liverpool as "Manchester with water" and that's, more or less, how it looks in your pics.

Nightsky, I was based in Birmingham (lovely Moseley district) where my friends live. The central location of the city is perfect, with a massive train station connecting pretty much everywhere else in England, often directly. With an unlimited pass, I took the train as if it were the subway.

10023, no I didn't make it to Bornemouth. Heard it's nice, but too many quaint places in this country. I had to make choices.

Crawford, I did not go to Manchester either, but it is true that both cities seem to have a similar size, are in the same area, have a heavy Victorian and industrial heritage, and so on.

FutureNorthEnder, thanks for the comments!
