Great update. I'm counting the days to see this building completed.

So far, this one is turning out to be a pleasant surprise. The curtainwall is not too exciting, but its got great height, an interesting massing and respects the streetwall.

Thanks,

This should poke out quite prominently behind 250 West 55h, as it has another few hundred feet to go before topping-out. People will be pleasantly surprised, IMO.

All that glass certainly helps that cruddy area of NY with all those ugly brown towers of crapola.

I agree -- that section of Manhattan could use this new tower!

I would guess roughly 15 floors to reach the top still (150 feet or so).

Full update from yesterday, and this is now taller than 250 W 55th:

I do, but I don't like the quality as much. I'll be sure to take some zoomed ones next time, though.

No argument here, but I think people are going to start to notice this one very soon as it becomes the tallest in the immediate vicinity. I think I have a special interest too because my first job in New York was at 1675 Broadway, just two blocks away.

^ Also people need to realise that this will be the tallest all- hotel building in the city (Four Seasons is 682')

It really does show resemblance to 4WTC at this point. Much skinnier and different setback location, but the two definitely look like siblings... although it's fair to say 4 WTC is much more beautiful, I think.
