You know, for folks who live at Proper and work at Third + Shoal, they could just hop out one window and into the next. Sounds like a short commute to me.

I think at least one of these renderings is new. They're from the project's website. The last show scheduled for the Austin Music Hall is February 18th.

If those bright vertical lines are actually lights and not just shiney metal strips reflecting the waning daylight, my opinion of this tower just improved more than a few notches.

I agree if those lines are bright LEDs, that would look fantastic in the skyline, please let it be.

This won't be some big flashy tower, but I think we'll be pleasantly surprised by it. And that density.

^ I agree, this one has grown on me since they announce it. Bottom line is we need more offices in downtown and the density overall is better than an 80s-style compound/fortress office building. It's actually not horrendous either, so I'll take it.

Is that retail on the bottom or just the lobby?

Go ahead and smack me upside the head but I think she's a real beauty. Got no complaints. Glad to hear others slowly coming around.

I doubt those are lights, I'm betting it's just a reflective metal, and now I'm going to be begging for more smacking upside the head but I don't think lighting like that would work as well as something that reflects the changing ambient light. Imagine those stripes at sunset or at night. They'd be fairly boring in the midst of a bright sunny day, but no more boring than if they were strips of light.

Edit: right after posting this comment, I scrolled up to look again and it immediately jumped out at me like they're lights and I liked it. So... I have absolutely no idea. Great feature either way.

I think they're lights be because the first picture show the east elevation at what appears to be sunset.

The heavy use of vertical lines gives this a taller, slender look. The glowing people look like poltergeist. I don't know if the neighboring residential
towers are going to be nicely lit up, so this would be a nice stand out if this does light up as possibly shown.

I bet they're lights. My source: pure speculation.

I hope those are lights. I think they are, too, because they have a day and night rendering as if it show what it'll look like day and night. I hope it isn't just some rendering gimmick to make it seem more attractive. It would be great to see it lit that way.

It kind of feels like we're getting a little bit of a business district.

LOL, the parking portion of it is definitely hideous and I think the reason why I like the overall building so much as that I'm just completely in denial about the parking garage. I literally don't even SEE it in these renderings, unless I focus on it. And, you know what, from ground-level the parking garage is probably going to be more prominent. Ugh... you're bumming me out, dude.

Ooohhh, I know, it's so cute! Imagine, someday it will take as much as 5 minutes to walk from one end of it to the other!

Does anyone familiar with the plans know what floor numbers those two west-facing "setbacks" occur on? It looks like 21 and 26 based on the highly scientific method of counting floors on the renderings.
